Raconteur Wine Co. 2015 Red Blend by W.T. Vintners

You may remember our past offerings of W.T. Vintners- a newer winery by Jeff Lindsay-Thorsen, who is the Sommelier and Wine Director at RN74 Restaurant downtown. He has also introduced a second label called Raconteur Wine Company, inspired by the French word for storyteller. The Raconteur label is more focused on affordable and easy-drinking wines, rather than the more earthy and esoteric stylings of his main line of W.T. Vintners.

W.T. Vintners 2015 Raconteur Wine Co. Red Blend

Sean Sullivan of Wine Enthusiast Magazine gives it 90 points, calling it, "a whole lot of wine,"  which shows, "dazzling purity and richness". Sean Sullivan has also designated it as a "Best Buy".

The Raconteur 2015 Red Blend is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon giving it firm structure and nice acidity with notes of cassis, blackberry, and pepper. The 25% Syrah softens things up, making for a wine which is very smooth and enjoyable overall. Syrah also gives notes of blueberry and hints of smokiness. Additionally, the wine exhibits qualities of dark cherries, a bit of sage, and a touch of lavender. Medium bodied, so it's not too heavy of a red, and can still be enjoyed on warmer days. Great for backyard grilling, and by itself.
