I use my years of experience to seek out the best wines, at all prices, and offer them on Impulse
Great wine is not defined by its fancy labels, famous regions, or high prices. Is the winemaker highly skilled? Was the vineyard well managed? Is it worth the asking price? These are the questions which govern the Impulse Wine selection.

Before starting ImpulseWine.com I worked for many Wine Spectator award winning restaurants in the Seattle area. Most recently I worked at the Willows Inn on Lummi Island with Chef Blaine Wetzel, Food & Wine Magazine “Best New Chef” and James Beard Award Nominee. There I offered a carefully selected medley of wines, both domestic and foreign, to compliment Chef Wetzel’s intricately crafted dishes, made with locally foraged and farmed ingredients.
I'm a Level 2 Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, have a Level 3 Advanced Certification with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust in London, and a Level 2 Certification from the International Sommelier Guild. Prior to my wine studies, I obtained
a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Washington in Seattle.
